Terrific Freight is a dance of resilience.
Conceived, choreographed and directed by Julie Mayo, Terrific Freight evokes a flood of shifting occasions, moving through a series of fractal, at times farcical, encounters among a “distributed conglomerate” of four performers (Doug LeCours, Mayo, Mark McCloughan, and Jessie Young) who collectively articulate, through a highly developed personal logic, a sense of time moving forward without lingering on the present moment or revisiting the past.
Despite moments, or mini-events, that get temporarily stuck, they either quickly, or eventually, become dislodged; and Terrific Freight continues in the mode of and then this...and then this...and then this.
