21 Bridge Ave, Red Bank, NJ 07701
The year is 1985. King Hedley II has returned from prison looking to rebuild his life, save some money, plant a backyard garden, and start a family. Don’t miss this powerful and evocative look at how hope springs from even the hardest of soil.

King Hedley II
picks up the stories of Ruby and Canewell (known here as Stool Pigeon) from Wilson’s Seven Guitars, produced at Two River in 2015, which is set nearly four decades earlier.

This production is the halfway mark of Two River presenting the 10 plays of August Wilson’s American Century Cycle. Obie Award-winner Brandon J. Dirden (A Raisin in the Sun, August Wilson’s Jitney) directs.
