Fuck / Love: The Poetics of Adoration is an exploration of the emotional disconnect between physicality and language. How do we communicate when words aren't enough? How do emotions manifest in our bodies and what is the resulting effect of how we choose to name them?
Utilizing forced physical exertion, duration, and the specific components of transitional elements, Bartnik exposes the places we keep most private, particularly relative to the extremes of emotion that exist between women in intimate relationships: overwhelming desires, misguided expectations, sexual release and comfort, idolization, and the poetics of adoration.
