Eat Drink and be Merry, for tomorrow we self-destruct.

When a family of shepherds in the suburbs of Corinth learn their adopted son Oedipus has ascended the throne of Thebes, they plan a bender to end all benders. But who’s on cleanup after the party’s over?

A comedy about your childhood being a Greek tragedy, this world premiere by Kate Tarker commissioned for the HotHouse Company examines the ways in which bad behavior is excused and concealed, using absurdism and traditions of clowning as a lens to tackle the timely subjects of sexual assault, incest, justice, and accountability.
