Venezuelan conductor Rafael Payare's profound musicianship, technical brilliance and charismatic presence on the podium has elevated him as one of the most sought after young conductors, working regularly with the world's leading orchestras. In February 2018, Payare was announced as the next Music Director of San Diego Symphony from the 2019-20 season.
Described by Gramophone as “the most trailblazing and meteoric performer of all” Nikolai Lugansky is a pianist of extraordinary depth and versatility. Concerto highlights for the 2018/19 season include performances with the Minnesota Orchestra, Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra, Orchestre de Paris, Russian National Orchestra, Orquesta Nacional de España, Iceland and Bamberg symphonies.

Parking
Tanglewood has reserve access parking available on campus on a first-come, first-served basis. Patrons who have a current government-issued parking permit or placecard are advised to prominently display the permit and park at the designated disabled parking areas within the Tanglewood grounds. Please alert a parking attendant or traffic officer upon arrival that accessible parking is needed -

Seating
Koussevitzky Music Shed - Accessible seats are located throughout the Shed. Companion seats are available for accessible seats.Seiji Ozawa Hall - Accessible seats are located on the main floor of Ozawa Hall. Companion seats are available for accessible seats. There is no elevator in Ozawa Hall, so patrons who have wheelchairs will be seated on the Orchestra floor. Those with difficulty walking up stairs may also request to be seated in the Orchestra level. -

Visual Assistance
Large Print and Braille programs are available for all BSO concerts at Tanglewood. Large print programs are available upon request. For Braille programs please contact the Access Services Department at least a week in advance so that we may get it printed for you. -
