20th season - Composer Portraits

The iconoclastic composer and multi-instrumentalist Anthony Braxton is one of the most important musicians, educators, and creative thinkers of our time. Drawing upon a range of influences, from John Coltrane to Karlheinz Stockhausen, his work examines core principles of improvisation and structural navigation, alongside innovation, spirituality, and intellectual investigation.

Joining in a worldwide celebration of the polymath’s 75th birthday, the JACK Quartet and Either/Or perform a selection of his unparalleled body of works.
