Celebrating his 40th anniversary season, composer Robert Een will be joined by New York all-star singers and instrumentalists Katie Geissinger, Nick Hallett, Bill Ruyle, Steve Elson and surprise guests in an evening of music for voice, cello, hammer dulcimer, vibraphone, saxophone and percussion.
Een and Caldecott-winning author Brian Selznick, reprise a section of Live Oak with Moss in commemoration of the 200th year of the American poet Walt Whitman’s (1819–1892) birth. Een’s solo compositions—which are in fact duets for voice and cello performed by him—lead off a concert of both new and acclaimed works.
