Hailed for their “expressive dancing, dramatic nuanced touches, and nicely synchronized corps work" (Ballet Focus), BAE students captivate audiences and critics alike in their annual Winter Performance.

According to Art Times Journal, it is an “evening of ballet superior to the work of many professional companies.” The 2020 Winter Performance program will include new works by Charles Askegard (former New York City Ballet principal, now ballet master of Pennsylvania Ballet and BAE faculty member), Lia Cirio (Boston Ballet principal dancer), Amanda Edge (former New York City Ballet member), Silas Farley (current New York City Ballet dancer), and two ballets by BAE Pre-Professional Division Principal, Jenna Lavin.

Elevator/Escalator

The Ailey Citigroup Theater and all studios are accessible by elevator.
Entrance

There is a ramp to access the front entrance of the building on 9th avenue. Stairs are available on the 55th street side of the building. There are two manual front doors operated by our security team and a revolving door.
Restroom

Restrooms and water bottle-refilling stations are available on the lower level (LL), performance entry level (PE), ground floor, 5th floor and 6th floor. Wheelchair accessible restrooms are available on the ground floor and performance entry level (PE). Doors to those restrooms are wave-activated to open on both sides.
Visual Assistance

All elevators have braille on their buttons identifying individual floors as well as a spoken voice to identify the floor when the doors open.
