Tammany Hall, a new, site-specific, immersive downtown theater experience takes you back to the legendary Election Night of November 5, 1929 for an intimate experience of the corruption, scandal, and romance that brought New York’s most notorious political machine crashing down.

Cast your vote and await the results of the night’s major mayoral race while exploring 15 rooms spanning 7,500sq/ft of Soho Playhouse, one of New York’s landmark Jazz Age hotspots. Rub shoulders with some of New York’s most legendary politicians like Jimmy Walker and Fiorello Laguardia, showgirls like Betty Compton, and a host of nefarious gangsters and molls, all in the very rooms where it all happened during the Prohibition Era. Observe political plots in the club room, spy on trysts in the penthouse suite, peek in at Follies rehearsals on stage, and maybe even knock back libations while conspiring with henchmen and government spies in the underground speakeasy. Experience the original political machine and cast your vote at Tammany Hall.

Age Guidance: 12
Audience Advisory: ***Please note this show is immersive & moves through all four levels of the SoHo Playhouse building. There are about 40 stairs, some narrow hallways, and close encounters with actors. If you would like to experience a version of the show with minimal stairs and less movement around the building, please select the “Minimal Stairs” ticket type. Please be aware, the Minimal Stairs ticket type still requires traversing stairwells from the Foyer to the Loft Room where you will be for the first-third of the show, stairwells back down to the Playhouse Theatre for the second-third of the show, then down to the Basement Speakeasy for the final-third of the show. This ensures you will be able to experience all of Tammany Hall while remaining comfortable with minimal movement.
