At her final concert, South African musical legend and activist Miriam Makeba delivers the performance of her life, raising the conscience and the consciousness of a people. But the ancestors are calling—transporting her through the music and fractured memories of her past on a spiritual journey of reconciliation. Written and performed by international music sensation Somi Kakoma, this world premiere musical is an electrifying portrait of a revolutionary artist’s singular voice and vision.

COVID Safety Information:
At this time, all attendees will be required to show a photo ID and proof of full vaccination.
Full vaccination for guests 12+ is defined as 14 days past an individuals last vaccination dose in their initial vaccine series (a two-dose Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna vaccine, the one-shot Janssen/Johnson & Johnson vaccine, or a WHO-approved vaccine).
Children ages 5–11 must show proof of having had at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccination. Beginning January 29, 2022, children ages 5–11 must also show proof of full vaccination. We also strongly encourage that anyone in attendance receive a COVID booster shot, if eligible.
When you arrive at the theatre, we’ll ask you to use one of these accepted resources to show proof of vaccination to our staff:
Excelsior Pass: This app allows you to connect to New York State & New York City vaccination records and download a personalized vaccination pass into an NYS Wallet app on your phone. We accept both the Excelsior Pass and the Excelsior Pass PLUS. Step-by-step instructions for the Excelsior Pass ( iOS and Android ).
NYC COVID Safe App for Android and iOS:This app allows you to store photos of your CDC Vaccination Card and photo ID. You may upload documents from any state. Your document photos are only accessible to you and are not connected to any agencies or databases.
CDC Vaccination Card: You may present your official CDC Vaccination Card, however we strongly encourage you to select a digital pass, if available, to ensure you don’t have to carry your irreplaceable paper card with you.
NYC Vaccination Record: If you are fully vaccinated but lost your CDC Vaccination Card or need verification of your vaccine status, you can request a copy of your COVID-19 vaccination record from the NYC Health Department’s Citywide Immunization Registry.
Health Pass by CLEAR: If you were vaccinated outside of NYC, the Health Pass by Clear links with over 30,000 labs and healthcare organizations nationwide. Step-by-step instructions are available for the Health Pass by CLEAR.
At present, there are no exceptions to this policy. Entry will not be permitted for guests who do not provide documentation as required above.
A mask must be worn over the nose and mouth at all times inside the building and theatre. Acceptable face coverings are KN95s, N95s, KN94s, or surgical masks. Cloth masks will no longer be accepted as an appropriate face covering.
