Help Me Draw Your Feelings by William Burke is a performance/art project/self-improvement hour that performs as a Joyously Skeptical ritual that melds personal progress and blocked/unblocked feelings with concreting and fleeting fantastical dreams.
Some of us will draw together and some of us will listen and we’ll all learn something. After a 26 year hiatus, William started to play the cello again. Then he taught himself to draw. Both are in the show. Help Me Draw Your Feelings is a celebratory, transcendent gathering that combats the deeply intimidating act of learning new things and relearning old things by looking at the greasy memory of past acts while advocating for the brutal and jubilant idea of the future. Drawing on vintage overhead projectors from 1972 is optional but encouraged.
