Blurring Boundaries 2023 continues New Ambassadors Theatre Company’s seminal mission: To facilitate a radically inclusive, intersectional and safe environment for the purpose of exceptional theatre.

Fragile
by Dana Leslie Goldstein
Rennie is on the verge of losing his beloved comic book shop. When Alana walks in, everything starts to change. Secret identities are revealed, but it’s going to take more than super-strength to forge a new origin story.

A first encounter with an artificially intelligent settings menu leads to a little humanity adjustment.
The End of Society

When an African-American woman submits an unusual piece of original art to a show whose theme is ‘The End of Society as We Know It’ debate ensues between the white arts administrator and the artist. They navigate a treacherous maze of verbal sparring, populated with racial barbs and personal threats.

Teacher Angie needs her wife Cassidy to do some things for her: check on her students, know that she loves her, and publish her prewritten obituary as a shooting is happening at her school.
Wednesday in the Park with Blake

A 40 year friendship is challenged, between an older gay man and his straight female friend, as their lifestyles and choices collide.
In the Garden of the Hesperides

A middle aged gay man gets blindsided one evening by his childhood bully asking for his forgiveness.

Tyson and Micah are about to finish their first date when Tyson goes in for a kiss. Micah recoils. But maybe not for the reasons Tyson initially thinks. This short play explores public displays of affection as well as who gets to share them and when and why they get to be shared.
