Hell is generously open to all, and some may wonder if they got there while they were alive, or if there might be something bigger, hotter or colder than this world. The heated Bulgarian performer, singer and visual artist Ivo Dimchev (Fcebook Theater, X-On, Lili Handel) has a rare talent for making heaven and hell collide again and again. Do such crashes also belong to a somehow divine plan? The title of Dimchev's new performance, In Hell with Jesus, seems to suggest it: Six characters meet in a gay bar, and a guy comes with a gun and shoots them all. The assassin also dies. When everyone has come to lie down, highly significant questions are projected onto the wall. And behold, one person after another experiences their resurrection. The living dead beg into debate the questions—for example, about the favorite murder weapon or the most disliked body part. Will the Redeemer himself drop by this grill?
