Queens Short Play Festival 2024

The Secret Theatre has a long tradition of presenting short and one-act play festivals over the last decade; the Queens Short Play Festival is a popular event featuring over 60 plays, and 120-180 different actors in the multiple shows, that are split into different programs. The shows can be funny, serious, poignant, moving, thought-provoking, irreverent and sweet, and every program includes talented actors presenting great original, contemporary plays.

The festival is a friendly competition where the various plays compete in their group for audience votes. After 4 performances, the scores are tallied, and the top two plays from each group move on to the Semi-Finals. From the two Semis, a final 8 plays are chosen to compete in the Grand Final. At the finals stage, the audience votes on two non-gendered Best Actor categories, Best Director and Best Play.
