Issue #9 is an original musical featuring 10 songs and an all-female cast. The story revolves around Natalie and her adolescent daughter Lexi, who move to Germantown, New York, in 1995. Natalie takes a job at the local gas station and becomes unaware of her daughter Lexi’s struggles. Lexi deals with toxic friendships and an eating disorder after becoming obsessed with teen magazines. Lexi eventually succumbs to the compulsive dieting culture of the time, which leads to her tragic death. Natalie, initially ignorant of the severity, takes control and tries to expose the incredibly harmful influence that pervasive teen magazine’s hold over our youth. She takes a terrible revenge.
