The Battery Dance Festival is New York City’s longest-running free public dance festival. Each year, the Festival draws a combined audience of over 12,000 in-person and over 35,000 virtual viewers.
The 2024 festival lineup includes American companies Alexandra F. Light, AU.THENTICITY DANCE CO., Ballet Nepantla, Battery Dance, Buglisi Dance Theatre, Capoeira Luanda NYC, Carolyn Dorfman Dance, FANIKE! African Dance Troupe, Julie Crothers, McKoy Dance Project || MDP, Pony Box Dance Theatre, Sun Kim Dance Theatre, T’Ana Selah and Wyatt Sutter and Charles Pierson. International companies participating in the festival include A’nó:wara Dance Theatre, Focus Dance Company, Lucas Crew, Pori Dance Company, Rajesh Sai Babu Mayurbhanj Chhau Group, Rutkay Özpinar and wee dance company.
