In this one-woman rollercoaster of a show, Candice Fox dives headfirst into the chaos of grief, mommy issues and the tangled mess of love and loss. With brutal honesty, vivid storytelling and striking visual elements, Cheers, Mom! is a cathartic, chaotic and laugh-out-loud exploration of what it means to say goodbye, even when the person you're eulogizing is still very much alive. Inspired by her relationship with her alcoholic mother, Fox explores estrangement, reconciliation and the bizarre ways we navigate the past while trying to move forward. Grief isn’t just about death, it’s about change, memory, identity and the absurd journey of making peace with it all. You’ll probably laugh, you might cry and you’ll definitely text your mom something weirdly emotional after! Whether you're estranged, enmeshed or somewhere in between, Cheers, Mom! hits deep and funny in equal measure.
