Ballet Hispánico presents MUJERES: Women in Motion—a bold program celebrating the creative voices of women across the Latine diaspora. From madres and tías to abuelas and hermanas, women have long shaped the cultural and artistic heartbeat of our communities.

This is the company’s second program to feature an all-female choreographic lineup and includes two world premieres. One is a vibrant new work by Brazil’s Cassi Abranches, known for blending Brazilian dance and music with classical technique and African-rooted rhythm. The other is a reimagining of Antigone by Cuban choreographer Marianela Boán, acclaimed for her genre-defying Contaminated Dance. Additionally, Stephanie Martinez, a chameleon of choreography, offers Otra Vez, Otra Vez, Otra Vez, a poignant reflection on unseen lives, inspired by Picasso’s The Old Guitarist.

Also featured is the En Familia/Family Matinee on April 25—a joyful, one-hour performance with narration and interactive moments, hosted by Artistic Director & CEO Eduardo Vilaro. All tickets are $25.
