"Let me play the lion too!" The Resident Acting Company's version of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream is taken over by one of its sub plots. In the traditional version of the play Shakespeare creates six working class people who are rehearsing a play within the play. Peter Quince, a carpenter; Nick Bottom, a weaver; Francis Flute, a bellows mender; Tom Snout, a tinker; Snug, a joiner; and Robin Starveling, a tailor, are all members of an amateur theatrical group who are working on a production of Pyramus and Thisbe—an ancient Greek tale found in the work of Shakespeare’s favorite poet, Ovid. This group of very funny, sometimes misguided, but often brilliant actors will not only be producing this ancient story of ill-fated lovers, but they will be telling… the whole story.
