Lucinda Childs, new Resident Choreographer for the "technically immaculate" Gibney Company (Dance Enthusiast), creates a world premiere full-length work. Philip Glass’s Another Look at Harmony, Part 4 is a score that has never before been choreographed at this scale.

Conceived in celebration of Glass’s 90th birthday, Another Look is a structurally rigorous work that reunites two defining figures of American minimalism in a rare and timely artistic convergence. This world premiere is is performed with live music by 18 singers and an organist from the French ensemble Les Métaboles.

Composed in the 1970s, Another Look at Harmony, Part 4 occupies a singular place in Glass’s output, and is rarely performed in full. Childs has returned to this music over decades, and this commission marks the first full-length choreographic realization of the score.

The box office is in the lobby. It is wheelchair accessible.
Restroom

New York City Center's mainstage restrooms are located on all seating levels. Restrooms for persons in wheelchairs are located on the left side of the lobby of the Orchestra level. On the Grand Tier/Mezzanine level they are to the left of the concessions and coat check area.

Orchestra & Mezzanine levels. Both are wheelchair accessible.
Seating

The seats in our theater range from 19”-22” wide and are 18” deep. There are armrests on all. They are all joined together, no space between. Some ends have armrests that can fold up for ADA access when wheelchair or walker patrons want to transfer or slide in.
