Chronically indecisive comedian Louis Katz has until the end of this show to decide if having a kid will ruin his life…or save it.
A Comedy Cellar regular with appearances on HBO, Comedy Central and NBC, Katz is the quintessential “comedian’s comedian,” having gained a cult following with his signature “dirty jokes for smart people.“ After the success of his 2023 special, Present/Tense: The Best Comedian You’ve Never Heard Of (over 1.5 million views on YouTube), Louis took his new material to the the 2024 Edinburgh Fringe Festival under the working title Bountiful, where it received rave reviews. Upon returning to the states after his successful but challenging Edinburgh run, Katz was determined to find a new way to combine the thematic throughlines celebrated at Fringe with the funny-over-everything, laughs-per-minute style of American club comedy. A chance meeting in Spring 2025 with Pulitzer Prize finalist playwright and stand-up super fan Amanda Gronich led to a working relationship and a further honing of the material. The end result is Conflicted, a cohesive hour of stand up that’s as insightful and heartfelt as it is hilarious.
