In Shakespeare's startlingly modern tale of madness, betrayal, beheadings, and revenge, Titus Andronicus, proud General of Rome, has defeated the Goth Tribe to the North.

Returning with his sons, living and dead, and The Goth Queen Tamora among his prisoners, Titus is welcomed back with pomp, circumstance and a special task--to select the new Roman Emperor. Will he choose the suave Bassianus, or the mercurial Saturninus? Rome's future hangs in the balance. But first, Titus demands the gruesome torture and sacrifice of Tamora's eldest son Alarbus in the public square right before her eyes. By nightfall, this first victim will seem the lucky one...
