Paul Taylor American Modern Dance shifts its return to the David H. Koch Theater from spring to fall, returning to the venue for the first time since the death of its founder. 

Celebrate the Dancemaker, featuring the Paul Taylor Dance Company in a tribute to its founder, who died in 2018. The engagement marks PTAMD’s first Lincoln Center Season under Artistic Director Michael Novak.

Highlights include 19 Taylor masterworks, and commissioned works created on PTDC by Kyle Abraham (World Premiere) and Guest Resident Choreographers Margie Gillis and Pam Tanowitz (Lincoln Center Premieres).Through its continued partnership with Orchestra of St. Luke’s, there is live music at every performance.

FESTIVAL HIGHLIGHT:
Tuesday, November 12 at 7 PM, as PTAMD partners with three world-class organizations to celebrate internationally acclaimed choreographer Donald McKayle, who died in April of 2018, by presenting three of his greatest works.

Dayton Contemporary Dance Company will perform Rainbow ‘Round My Shoulder (1959), Juilliard Dance will perform Crossing the Rubicon (2017), and Ronald K. Brown/Evidence will perform Songs of the Disinherited (1972)
