The Sidney Bechet Society brings the Ear Inn's glorious downtown jam session, uptown, to the big stage at Symphony Space!
Having previously showcased the jam scene at Mona's in the East Village, SBS now travels across town to the West Side's, Ear Inn, to present the essence of the jam session that takes place every Sunday, at NYC's oldest working bar. Evan Christopher (clarinet) journeys north from New Orleans to join New Yorker's Jon-Erik Kellso (trumpet) and Matt Munisteri (guitar) and other special guests, as they conjure the Crescent City's fiery musical spirit. The night's frolics will also be the release party for the "Earregulars" new CD, In The Land Of The Beginning Again.
