In the winter of 2014, Tooting Arts Club staged Stephen Sondheim’s masterpiece Sweeney Todd in London’s oldest pie and mash shop, Harrington’s Pie and Mash, number 3 Selkirk Road, Tooting
Just 8 actors, 3 musicians and an audience of just 32, this intimate revival received exceptional reviews, 4 Off West end nominations, and on the last night a visit from Stephen Sondheim himself.
Due to its phenomenal success TAC re-mounted Sweeney Todd in Spring 2015 with the endorsement and help of no other than Sir Cameron Mackintosh.
Tooting Arts Club’s acclaimed production ofSweeney Todd comes to New York City following its sold-out runs in London.Former White House Executive Pastry Chef William “Bill” Yosses – dubbed “the Crust Master” by President Barack Obama – will serve as the production’s official pie maker throughout the New York run.

SEATING INFO
The action of the performance takes place primarily on and around the shop’s service counter and four nearby tables. While there is no formal audience participation, certain seats in the shop – particularly those at the four tables – are in very close proximity to the action. Counter seats, in general, will provide a bit of distance to those who welcome it.
All tickets are available for pickup the day of the performance.
PRE-SHOW PIE & MASH
When selecting and purchasing seats, you have the option to buy tickets that include pie and mash cooked fresh daily. For an additional $22.50 on top of the price of your ticket, you will get one pie (meat or veg), a generous helping of mashed potato with an optional parsley sauced known as “liquor” and a beer, glass of wine, or non-alcoholic beverage. Pie and mash will be served communally in the pie-shop one 90 minutes prior to each performance and last pies will be served 30 minutes prior to performance.
