One of the premier summer music festivals in the world and summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra since 1937, Tanglewood is located in the beautiful Berkshire Hills, between Stockbridge and Lenox, Massachusetts.
The 2017 Tanglewood season, June 18-Labor Day Weekend, offers visitors an exceptional lineup of performances and musical activities for music lovers of every age, highlighted by 10 programs led by Boston Symphony Orchestra Music
Director Andris Nelsons and major new initiatives designed to give patrons a wide spectrum of musical, entertainment, and educational activities, including some to enjoy before and after selected performances throughout the summer.
In his most significant commitment yet to Tanglewood, Mr. Nelsons will lead both the opening and closing BSO concerts, Mahler's Symphony No. 2, Resurrection, and Beethoven Symphony No. 9; an opera gala with Kristine Opolais performing excerpts from Simon Boccanegra, La traviata, and Eugene Onegin, and the first-ever BSO and festival concert performance of the complete Das Rheingold, a tour de force milestone in the history of the festival. Mr. Nelsons will also conduct the Boston Pops Orchestra for the first time, sharing the podium for Film Night with John Williams.

Audience Advisory: The Tanglewood Café and Tanglewood Grill offer a casual dining experience for all patrons. Stop in and take advantage of the fresh salad bar, sandwiches made to order, hot foods, and wide variety of beverages for your enjoyment on the lawn or under the covered seating areas. The Café is located between the Shed and the Lion’s Gate. The Grille is located just inside the Main Gate next to the Glass House 1 Gift Shop.

Assisted Listening System
Assistive Listening Devices (portable FM receivers with earphones) are available in both the Koussevitzky Music Shed and Ozawa Hall. ALD's amplify the sound and cut out ambient noise. Please speak with a Tanglewood usher to request an ALD to use during a performance. They are available on a first come first served basis -
Entrance
Main walkways are paved and there are a limited number of gravel pathways located throughout the Tanglewood campus. If you need assistance navigating these pathways, please ask an usher or gate attendant and a trained staff member will help you. -
Folding Armrests
We offer seats with moveable arm rests. -
Parking
Tanglewood has reserve access parking available on campus on a first-come, first-served basis. Patrons who have a current government-issued parking permit or placecard are advised to prominently display the permit and park at the designated disabled parking areas within the Tanglewood grounds. Please alert a parking attendant or traffic officer upon arrival that accessible parking is needed -
Restroom
Accessible restrooms are located throughout the Tanglewood grounds. -
Seating
Koussevitzky Music Shed - Accessible seats are located throughout the Shed. Companion seats are available for accessible seats.Seiji Ozawa Hall - Accessible seats are located on the main floor of Ozawa Hall. Companion seats are available for accessible seats. There is no elevator in Ozawa Hall, so patrons who have wheelchairs will be seated on the Orchestra floor. Those with difficulty walking up stairs may also request to be seated in the Orchestra level. -

Accessible telephones are located throughout the grounds. Please refer to the Tanglewood map for exact locations. -
Visual Assistance
Large Print and Braille programs are available for all BSO concerts at Tanglewood. Large print programs are available upon request. For Braille programs please contact the Access Services Department at least a week in advance so that we may get it printed for you. -
Wheelchair Info
Tanglewood offers special wheelchair escort assistance for patrons with mobility disabilities. Please ask upon entrance to Tanglewood for assistance and a Tanglewood staff member will assist you. Service is free of charge.
