New York Live Arts
219 West 19th Street, New York City, NY 10011
From 2019 Guggenheim Fellow and New York Dance and Performance “Bessie” Award winning Kimberly Bartosik / daela.

Viscerally provocative and ferociously intimate, through the mirror of their eyes brims with compassion and violence. The piece begins inside of a storm of unbounded physical intensity. A trio of performers rush into and through layers of electric encounters with each other. With wild and tender abandon, the dancers ride the flow and swells of Sivan Jacobovitz’s music and score; they ride their desire to fly, to defy gravity, to stay afloat, to find a pathway through a space drenched with light and sound.

through the mirror of their eyes is infused with reminders of time and our abilities to navigate pathways of destruction and renewal.
