For weeks we’ve been flipping our fins in anticipation of ABC’s The Little Mermaid Live! , especially since this live TV musical was clearly a departure from its predecessors . Now that’s it’s aired, we’ve seen firsthand how different this hybrid of animated movie/live-action performance was. From the moment Jodi Benson, the original voice of Ariel, introduced the special, we were hooked. Our jaws
