THE UNDERGROUND

once housed Robin Givens’ mother’s tea shop. That’s Mike Tyson’s moth- er-inlaw! In one of our other incarnations, we were New York’s only Com- munist Bookstore. Rumor has it that there were more FBI agents in here at any given time than actual communists. Established on August 8, 1997, it opened as a coffee shop and has since become a neighborhood favorite lounge and comedy/cabaret/music performance venue. We are now home to some of the best shows in nightlife!
