Theater Description

The Old Stone House & Washington Park is part of the Historic House Trust of New York City, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.   Serving as the conservancy organization for the park, OSH&WP has overseen $9.5 million in park renovations, provides education programming for 7,000 students annually, and fosters a welcoming space for more than 200 individual artists, small and medium sized arts organizations and family events each year.

Hosts the hugely popular residency with Piper Theatre every July — featuring equity showcase productions ranging from works by Shakespeare to Bloody, Bloody Andrew Jackson and Sweeney Todd.   We’re also the home to Piper’s energetic workshop program, which provides a creative space for over 200 children ages 7 to 16 every July, as well as afterschool programs during the school year.   Our tri-season residency program focuses on theater for young people and their families, working with companies including Spellbound and Trusty Sidekick
