Even though in-person theatre and dance are back in full swing, in the name of accessibility we're continuing to round up performances to watch online from the comfort of home. Our curated list spotlights the five best options to stream this holiday weekend, Friday, October 10 to Monday, October 13, for free or at low cost.

The (Un)Double

Live-streaming on Friday, October 10 at 7:30 p.m. for $15.

Currently running at La MaMa, this genre-defying piece inspired by Fyodor Dostoevsky's novella The Double will be live-streamed to at-home audiences for this one performance. Through dance, dialogue and a psychiatric intake exam, The (Un)Double interrogates the space between the self, the ideal and our own narrative. Presented by The Useless Room.

Good Night, and Good Luck: Live From Broadway

Earlier this year, Hollywood heavyweight and Tony nominee George Clooney made history by live-streaming the penultimate performance of his stage adaptation of his Oscar-nominated film about how broadcast journalist Edward R. Murrow helped take down red scare-monger Senator Joseph McCarthy on national television. Now that recording is available to watch courtesy of Amazon Prime. David Cromer directs this ever-more depressingly relevant examination of the dangers of disinformation.

Ain't Misbehavin' on Broadway

A gem from the vaults! The beloved Fats Waller revue Ain't Misbehavin' played for four years on Broadway. After it closed, the original cast, including Nell Carter, André De Shields and Ken Page, reassembled for a special performance in front of a live studio audience that was captured on film by NBC. All these decades later this joint is still jumpin'!
