TDF Veterans Theatregoing Program
Founded in 2017, the TDF Veterans Theatregoing Program welcomes vets to shows on Broadway and beyond alongside their peers. TDF partners with veteran organizations across the city to offer a limited number of tickets to their members at no cost. TDF also works directly with individual NYC veterans. Post-performance talkbacks are planned when possible, and complimentary TDF Memberships are provided to participating veterans so they can continue their theatregoing at greatly reduced cost.

What people are saying
The TDF Veterans Theatregoing Program has given me incredible opportunities to see brilliant Broadway shows at no cost. As a veteran who loves theatre but often finds ticket prices a barrier, this program brings me immense joy by making world-class performances accessible. The added bonus of talkbacks with the actors after the show takes the experience to the next level and makes me feel like a VIP.
I am deeply proud to have worked with our Council colleagues to continue our support for the TDF Veterans Theatregoing Program. Our cultural institutions, including the bright lights of Broadway, are one of the best parts of our great city and it is important to ensure all New Yorkers can enjoy them, especially veterans. Veterans have served our country and I thank TDF for continuing to serve our veterans.
As a female Air Force veteran, I'm honored to be a part of the Veterans Theatregoing Program. This experience is financially unattainable for many veterans. It's a pleasure to be surrounded by my fellow veterans and enjoy spectacular performances at the same time. As one who suffers from PTSD (not service related), it's a great feeling to be able to go out and be accommodated. Speaking for all veterans, thank you TDF for the opportunity to enjoy Broadway.
SAGEVets appreciate how generous TDF has been to us through the years. Thanks to the Veterans Theatregoing Program, SAGE’s LGBTQ+ veterans over age 50 can see amazing Broadway and Off-Broadway shows they may not have had the opportunity to experience.
By the numbers annually: 18 shows, 40 organizations, 1,600 veterans
