New York City Ballet is one of the foremost dance companies in the world, with a roster of spectacular dancers and an unparalleled repertory. The Company was founded in 1948 by George Balanchine and Lincoln Kirstein, and it quickly became world-renowned for its athletic and contemporary style. Jerome Robbins joined NYCB the following year and, with Balanchine, helped to build the astounding repertory and firmly establish the Company in New York.

A special highlight in Spring 2018, the three-week Robbins 100 pays tribute to Founding Choreographer Jerome Robbins on the centennial of his birth, featuring a collection of his most celebrated works.

Rounding out the spring performances are two all-Balanchine programs featuring some of his greatest masterpieces, a program of contemporary hits, and a weeklong run of the full-length Coppélia, a beloved comedic ballet featuring a delightful tale of buoyant romance and mistaken identity.
