BalletCollective commissions emerging and established art makers and thought leaders to collaborate closely using an original process that inspires ballet-based works. BalletCollective exclusively performs commissioned, collaborative work that reimagines ballet for 21st century audiences. 

Founded in 2010 by acclaimed choreographer Troy Schumacher (New York City Ballet) it connects artists at the forefront of their genres to collaborate across mediums creating works of new forms of authentic and accessible artistic expression, emotionally engaging audiences and providing artists the environment and opportunities for breakthrough that leave"a number of burning images in the mind.”  (The New York Times)
