Toni Stone is an encyclopedia of baseball stats. She’s got a great arm. And she doesn’t understand why she can't play with the boys.

Lydia Diamond's new play knocks it out of the park with an intensely theatrical glimpse into the world of the first woman to go pro in the Negro Leagues. This world premiere features Obie Award winner April Matthis who leads a bullpen of players crossing age, race and gender in this vibrant look at how we stay in the game and play our own way.

Toni Stone, recipient of an Edgerton Foundation New Play Award is based on the book Curveball, The Remarkable Story of Toni Stone by Martha Ackmann.
