A Brand New Box of Matches is a cabaret theatre piece conceived, written and performed by Grace Zandarski with musical direction by Benji Goldsmith and direction by Richard Armstrong. The work is an interplay of classic rock, blues and mythology with text by Ms. Zandarski, Euripides and others. It asks the question: what if Medea got to tell her own story? First performed in NYC at the Actors Workshop Theatre in 2018, it was part of Pantheatre’s Myth and Theatre Festival at the Roy Hart Centre in the South of France in 2019.
