Conductor Louis Langrée brings a cast fresh from the Aix-en-Provence Festival for this staged concert of Mozart’s fiancée-swapping farce that hints at deeper themes on the tenuous nature of relationships. The vocal magic and mayhem are supported by leading period-instrument ensemble the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra, known for its “spirited and finely nuanced readings” (BBC Music Magazine) of Mozart favorites.
