Bach Magnificat in D & Vivaldi Introduction and Gloria

VOA begins 2016 with one of the most beloved of all choral works, Bach’s Magnificat in D.  Composed during his first season in Leipzig, Bach lavished on this work all the brilliance and inspiration he had to offer.

Complementing that masterpiece is the color and pageantry of 18th century Venice.  Vivaldi’s sparkling Introduction and Gloria is full of delightful solos, duets, and choruses. Festivity will fill the air for this glorious pairing of venerated works for chorus, orchestra and soloists.
