Give the Gift of Theatre

TKTS Gift Certificates

Do you want to give someone the gift of theatre? We recommend TKTS Gift Certificates, which are available in denominations of $25, $50 and $100 and work like cash at any TKTS Booth.

With TKTS Gift Certificates, they can decide what they want to see and when they want to see it!

At the Times Square Booth, the “Play Express” window does not sell tickets to musicals, dance or music performances. The line for this window therefore often moves more quickly.

TDF Show Search lets you create a customized “Go List” of shows that you can print out and take along on your visit to a TKTS Discount Booth.

TKTS celebrated its 40th Anniversary in Times Square on June 26, 2013 with a special tribute hosted by Julie Halston and featuring Harvey Fierstein and the cast of Forbidden Broadway.

A proclamation from the City of New York was presented to Theatre Development Fund (TDF) and accepted on its behalf by “The Unofficial Mayor of Broadway,” 4-time Tony Award winner Harvey Fierstein.

After the presentation, the cast of Forbidden Broadway performed a special tribute to TKTS written by the show’s creator, Gerard Alessandrini. Next up, Broadway star Julie Halston, also known as the “Unofficial Hostess of Broadway” introduced karaoke singers performing Broadway songs from the past 40 years.

To add to the festivities, 15 TKTS Patron Service Representatives were dressed in costumes from the TDF Costume Collection in the style of shows that have opened in the past 40 years — all while assisting guests waiting in line for the afternoon's shows.

Also at today’s TKTS Times Square 40th Anniversary celebration, Harvey Fierstein and Julie Halston announced a new program at Theatre Development Fund’s TKTS Booth in Times Square – the TKTS 7-Day Fast Pass – whereby TKTS patrons may return to the iconic discount ticket booth within 7 days of their TKTS purchase and walk up to window #1 with their TKTS ticket stub, thereby avoiding the longer lines at peak hours. Thus, allowing them quicker access to purchase same-day discounts or future-performance full-priced tickets.
