Now in its 39th season, Riverside Symphony is widely credited for bringing a unique musical perspective to classical music audiences in New York City. Northern California native Lembit Beecher’s spirited, colorful overture imagines the Estonian folk hero he encountered in childhood stories transplanted to present-day San Francisco, while Bartók’s trenchant, gorgeous violin showcases reflect earlier times in direct musical terms. Beethoven’s blazing opus concludes the season with a glorious bang.
