We are proud and excited to announce The Tragedy of Julius Caesar as New York Classical Theatre’s 2026 summer production, directed by Founding Artistic Director Stephen Burdman. “This play is a powerful examination of leadership, loyalty, and the consequences of political violence on a republic,” says Burdman. “Of all of Shakespeare’s plays, this one speaks most clearly to the moment we are in. It’s a play for now.”

Step into the world of Julius Caesar and discover why it speaks so strongly to our moment.
