Broadway Is Back!

Help TDF make everyone feel welcome and included

Since 1968, TDF has been dedicated to building audiences for the performing arts. Even the pandemic couldn't stop us. While theatres were closed, we transformed our programs for digital consumption and continued to engage with audiences at home. We innovated outside the box to provide our constituents with a sense of community and belonging. It was hard work, but we did it!

Now that Broadway is back, TDF must ensure the theatre industry remains open while restarting our in-person programming for the 100,000-plus individuals we serve. We know we can do it, but we need your help. Through TDF’s Veterans Theatregoing Program, thousands of vets and their families will attend Broadway shows such as Hadestown and Tina: The Tina Turner Musical free of charge. Members of our TDF Accessibility Programs will enjoy open captioned and audio described performances at The Public Theater, Radio City Music Hall and New York City Center. TDF School Programs will recommence in the spring with full houses of public school students seeing Broadway landmarks like The Lion King. And hundreds of neurodiverse children and adults and their loved ones will experience a special performance of Broadway's Come From Away in January thanks to TDF’s Autism Friendly Performances.

TDF's goal is to raise $225,000 before December 31, 2021. Every donation, large or small, makes a difference and supports the vital work we do to make theatre and dance affordable, accessible and inclusive for all.

DID YOU KNOW? Donations from your IRA aren’t recognized as income and will reduce your 2021 tax liability. If you're 70.5 or older, you can make a gift from your traditional IRA account. And if you're 72 or older, an IRA donation is a compassionate way to fulfill your required minimum distribution for the year.

Use this free online tool to make your end-of-year gift to TDF from your IRA today. Alternatively, you can send a letter to your IRA administrator requesting a direct charitable distribution to TDF in the amount you designate. The letter should include TDF’s tax ID number: 13-6216919.
