Theatre Development Fund has announced that its satellite TKTS Discount Booth in Downtown Brooklyn at 1 MetroTech Center will reopen on Tuesday, November 6 at 11am. This booth has been closed since Hurricane Sandy hit last week.

TKTS Downtown Brooklyn, (which is literally steps from the MetroTech/Jay Street subway stop for the A, C and F trains and close by to the other trains that service Borough Hall), sells same-day discount tickets for evening performances of Broadway and Off Broadway shows, as well as next-day discount tickets for matinee performances. TKTS Downtown Brooklyn’s hours of operation are Tuesday – Saturday from 11am to 6pm.

TDF’s main TKTS Discount Booth in Times Square reopened last Wednesday, October 31 when Broadway shows started resumed performance after the storm, but TDF’s other satellite TKTS Discount Booth in South Street Seaport remains closed as it sustained extensive water damage.

Recently, TDF announced that TKTS Times Square, now in its 40th year of service in Manhattan at Broadway and 47th Street, has added two new services.

(1) On two-performance days, matinee and evening tickets are being sold simultaneously. For example: on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays, when TKTS Times Square opens at 10am (or 11am on Sundays), patrons are able to purchase matinee and/or evening performance discount tickets for that day. Previously, matinee tickets were sold only from 10am to 2pm and evening tickets sold only from 3pm to 8pm.

(2) Additionally, Window #1 serves as a “Full-Price Ticket Window” which will allows TKTS Times Square ticket buyers to purchase full-price tickets to all shows for future performances or same day full-price tickets to shows that are not available at a discount at any other TKTS Booth windows.
