TDF Teacher Seminars

If you're looking to expand your arts teaching skills, consider enrolling in one of TDF's theatre education courses offered through the NYC Department of Education's After School Professional Development Program. Teachers can earn professional credits along the way (P-credits and CTLE hours), get to see a free show and receive a complimentary one-year membership to TDF.

TDF National Autism Friendly Performance Training Program

TDF's National Autism Friendly Performance Training Program was founded in 2012 in the spirit of sharing ideas and methodology when it comes to launching autism-friendly or sensory-friendly programming.

TDF National Open Captioning Training Program

TDF offers a limited number of two-year partnerships with professional regional theatres to sponsor open captioned performances and increase attendance by people who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Commercial Theater Institute

Committed to the development and training of emerging producers, the Commercial Theater Institute provides resources and guidance to individuals interested in the various paths one can take towards creating commercial productions for the stage.

Access Symposium

In 2017, TDF hosted an accessibility symposium to facilitate a dialogue with non-profit theatres in New York City on meeting the needs of the community. This event was made possible through funding from the Department of Cultural Affairs.
