As much as I adore musicals, I admit I usually remember melodies better than lyrics. In fact, I often mishear (and thus, mislearn) lines -- apparently Velma doesn't sing, "Hold on, bud, we're gonna funny hug," in Chicago (though "funny hug" sounds much more criminal than "bunny hug"). Misunderstood lyrics are so rampant, there are entire YouTube videos and hilarious message board threads dedicated to frequently misheard lines.
