Maverick’s 2014 season will celebrate the anniversary of the birth of Richard Strauss, the last Romantic, with an exploration of his chamber music and of the rich trove of Central European music at the dawn of the 20th century. We will also renew our commitment to American music with new and recent repertoire, from the cutting-edge work of young composers to America’s master of the string quartet, Elliott Carter.
Our listeners will be treated to familiar and cherished works of chamber music along with lesser-known marvels of the repertoire from the 18th to the 21st centuries. The exciting and eclectic Jazz at the Maverick series returns, as do the popular and upbeat Saturday morning Young People’s Concerts.

Except for a limited number of reserved seats, tickets are by general admission. There are over 160 nonreserved seats inside the hall and 100 outside. A limited number of reserved seats is available for purchase online only until six hours before the event.
