Searching for “valuables” they emptied a battered old brief case onto the floor. Scattering a sea of papers and notebooks and a plain red checked diary onto the floor. Unaware that its contents held what come to be known as “the voice of the Holocaust” It would have been lost forever. If not for one woman whose courage had always prevailed, her name was Miep Gies.
Miep risked her life every day for two years in an effort to save Anne Frank , her family and the four others in hiding . She stood in bold defiance of the Nazi oppressors who had taken over her homeland.
If not for Miep we would not have “The Diary of Anne Frank”.
In 2020 and in a world that is crumbling apart Miep’s story and her indomitable spirit and courage is one for now and for all time...for the ages.
She was a reluctant hero, stating:
“There is no choice. When innocent people are in trouble you must help!”
Journey with the lady who “saved Anne Frank”. Learn her story. Her personal life, of her courage and her very special relationship with the girl who has been dubbed, “Hitler’s Most Famous Victim”.
