The audience will be led through five performance spaces as they stand inches away from eleven exhibits about the African American Diaspora. Small groups of 15 to 20 people will move throughout our “Colored Museum” as they observe and interact with
•Aunt Ethel, who sings about creating Black people
• Miss Roj, who will welcome you to his decadent bar, The Bottomless Pit (were you can actually purchase drinks and snacks) as he tells it, “like it Tiz”
• Junie and Normal who share their heart-wrenching secrets that will shock and amaze you
• the culminating exhibit, an uplifting and inspirational celebration of life, history, and the spirit.
This unusual site-specific theatrical event includes three interludes during which you are encouraged to relax with a drink or snack as you experience this once-in-a-lifetime unique evening in the theatre.
