Both Sides of a famous love affair between  legendary comic Jackie Mason and a belly-dancing-playwright  as seen through the eyes of lovechild Sheba Mason, starring Ian Wehrle as Jackie, and a Hilarious Cast of eight. Live singing, original  Score includes.:. “Ode to the Early Bird Special”  and “I Never Met this Yenta"

It begins at the bustling Rascal House delicatessen in Miami Beach 1977.....
Jackie Mason (played by Ian Wehrle), spots Ginger sitting with her mother, Mrs.Olivier, among the pastrami platters and pickles, and sends his lackey over to her table. Mrs. Olivier, Ginger’s glamorous, overbearing mother, is overjoyed to introduce her daughter to the much older comedian. The fawning mother answers every question Jackie directs to Ginger, whereupon he says:

"She must also be a ventriloquist. I ask her a question and every answer comes out of your mouth!"

As they leave the Rascal House she advises Ginger not to rush into bed with him immediately but to "make him suffer a little." Fascinated by Jackie’s brilliant comic routines and dynamic charisma, Ginger falls hopelessly in love. She finds herself waiting for his calls and rushing out at all hours of the night to be with him  -  under the strict guidance of Mrs Olivier,  who monitors every detail of the affair down to the negligee!

Quotation Mark

WOW - we came to this show by default - long story - but what a wonderful surprise! The best we have seen in years - and we have seen many shows!
This show has HEART and a little piece of all of us in it. Dont let the description fool you - it is NOT a Jackie Mason stand up comedy show - it s a TRUE book musical with two acts that will actually make your day like it did ours! Direction, Choreography, Costumes , Music and Lyrics are top notch as is the talented cast! and you do not have to be Jewish to love it -the show is transparent to all - go and enjoy it - it will stay with you for years to come. Rating: 5 stars!
