The Joyce Theater is a 472-seat dance performance venue located in the Chelsea area of the borough of Manhattan in New York City. The Joyce Theater Foundation, the organization founded in 1982 that operates the theater, also owns the Joyce SoHo dance center located in a former firehouse on Mercer Street between Houston and Prince Streets. The Foundation won a 1986 Drama Desk Special Award for its American Theatre Exchange program.

Parsons Dance brings its blend of athleticism, stunning ensemble work, and pure joy to the stage for performances of high-energy dance. The program includes the world premiere of David Parsons The Introduction set to a new score by renowned cellist and composer Ruben Kodheli. The season also includes Nascimento Novo, with music by South American legend Milton Nascimento and Caught, the stroboscopic masterwork that continues to wow audiences around the world. The opening night performance, celebrating Parsons 30th anniversary, will have special guest performers. In addition, four family friendly matinees will include kid-friendly repertory and an opportunity to meet the dancers.
